Before you start your online application, here's a list of the details you will need to know in order to fill it out completely. We recommend gathering this information before you start so that your application process can run smoothly.
You will need to have/know:
- Your contact information, including phone number, email, and full mailing address(es).
- The municipality in which you live (City of Ithaca, Town of Ithaca, Town of Dryden, Village of Lansing, etc.) There are instructions on how to look this up within the app, or you can check out this article for more information.
- The first and last name and email address of a parent/caregiver.
- The names and email addresses of two adults not related to you who know you enough to be a reference (teachers, coaches, neighbors, parents of good friends, etc). Pro tip: Give these people a head's up that you have listed them as reference on your application, because we will be contacting them.
- Information about past jobs or volunteer experiences, if you have had them.
- Vacation dates or other summer conflicts/time commitments, if you know them.
- Whether your family qualifies for services such as TANF, SafetyNET, SNAP, HEAP, Medicaid. If you don't know this, it's okay, we will be double-checking with your parent/caregiver.
- Your basic schedule/availability of the next few weeks so you can book an interview with us.
You will NOT need to have/know:
- Your social security number
- Exactly where you want to work this summer (although it's fine if you do)
- Your work permit (we need it eventually, but don't wait to get it in order to apply/interview)
- Identity documents to upload (we'll get there)
